Financial Controller
Job description
One of our key clients is a dynamic Medical Aesthetics company with an innovative product portfolio expanding across both injectables and Energy Based Devices. With their hyper growth in the UK they are now seeing a Financial Controller to take ownership of finance for the UK subsidiary, managing the accounting operations, covering financial reporting, balance sheet oversight, P&L management, taxes, and payroll. This position also has a strong commercial focus, acting as a business partner to the General Manager and commercial teams.
The Financial Controller will play a key role in developing internal control policies and procedures while providing strategic and operational support to drive business growth. The company has significant growth plans and would offer this individual the opportunity for future progression and growth within the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee monthly closing procedures, ensuring accurate and timely submission of accounts and group reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Conduct thorough overhead analysis to identify areas for process improvement.
- Manage cash flow for the affiliate, coordinating closely with headquarters. Supervise cash flow predictions, authorise payment disbursements, and drive initiatives to improve forecasting and optimise costs.
- Evaluate budgeting processes, generate tailored monthly budget reports, and oversee management and tracking of budget and accounting data. Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and assist with tax computations and compliance.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to senior leadership. Offer suggestions for improving financial performance, managing cash flow and working capital, and maintaining compliance with banking arrangements. Serve as the primary expert in financial systems, evaluating and optimising systems for business reporting and analysis while maintaining the integrity of segregation of duties.
- Provide strategic, operational and business partnering support to the General Manager.
To be considered for the role, you must closely match the following criteria:
- Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA
- Experienced Financial Controller/Management Accountant in Medtech or related sector
- Experience within a Global Company and knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards
- Excellent hands-on capability with financial accounting as well as business partnering
- Strong capability and experience in reporting packages
- Proficient in comprehending and communicating numerical data, self-starting, strategic thinker
- Motivation and drive to develop personally and professionally alongside the growth of the business
